HOW IT WORKS
Three steps, then you can forget about it.

Apply and pick your code
Sign in, tell us where you would share it, and choose the code you want — 4 to 20 letters or digits. Something people can say out loud.

Step 2
Share your link
Approval issues the code and the link that carries it. Anyone who signs up through that link is attributed to you — today, or three months from now when they finally get around to it.

They subscribe, you accrue
Their discount is applied automatically. Your share is accrued the moment each invoice is paid, and shows up on your dashboard.
The terms

- Your share25% of what they pay for their first 12 months — 30% for founding partners.
- Paid invoices onlyCommission accrues when an invoice is actually paid. Signups and trials earn nothing; refunds net it back down.

Before you ask.
- Do I have to be a chess teacher?
- No. It was built for coaches, but club organisers, stream hosts and anyone with a chess group can apply. Tell us where you would share it.
- What does the person I refer actually get?
- 15% off BirdChess Pro for their first 12 months. The link carries the code, so the discount is waiting at checkout and there is nothing for them to type in.
- How much do I earn?
- 25% of what each referred person actually pays, for their first 12 months. Founding partners earn 30%. Commission accrues on paid invoices only, never on signups or trials.
- When do I get paid?
- Balances are paid out monthly, once you have accrued at least $50. Anything under the minimum rolls forward to the next month.
- What happens if someone I referred gets a refund?
- The commission is netted down in proportion to the refund. If the balance was already paid out, the difference is measured against your next payout.
- What if they already pay for BirdChess?
- Students who were already subscribing when you were approved are excluded from the start. The program pays for new business, not for a book you already had.
- Where do I get my code?
- You choose it when you apply, and it is issued when your application is approved. Until then there is no active code: an unapproved code applies no discount and earns nothing.
